Each member of EPIC Rx’s board of directors is an independent pharmacy owner. They not only make key decisions to support our member pharmacies, but they also serve their community every day as independent pharmacists. We’re giving you a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of our board members!
Meet Steve Moore, owner of Condo Pharmacy in Plattsburgh, New York, and EPIC Rx board member since 2022. He’s a luminary and board member for CPESN, a board member for the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), and the Plattsburgh North Country Chamber of Commerce. Steve is also a former president of the Pharmacists Society of the State of New York (PSSNY).
For Steve, pharmacy isn’t just a profession; it’s a legacy. As a second-generation pharmacist and owner, pharmacy has been a part of Steve’s life from the beginning. His parents purchased Condo Pharmacy when he was 13 – the very same pharmacy that he now owns and operates!
Steve joined EPIC Rx’s board of directors in 2022 and thoroughly enjoys working with other board members and EPIC Rx staff. “I firmly believe we have the best team in the business, and my pharmacy wouldn’t be here without EPIC Rx.”
EPIC Rx and EPIC Pharmacy Network (EPN) have helped Steve’s business in numerous ways. “EPN saved our pharmacy with the way we true-up effective rates to the individual pharmacy level.” Despite the challenges posed by recent DIR changes, which caused financial strain for many pharmacies in early 2024, Steve says his business remained unscathed, thanks to EPN’s escrow process for Medicare Part D claims.
For Steve, EPIC Rx stands out as an organization that not only talks the talk but walks the walk. He says, “Everyone at EPIC Rx operates in the best interests of our member pharmacies. I’m extremely excited for EPIC Rx’s future.”
