Summer is coming to an end, and it’s time to prepare for all things back-to-school! Your community will need many things to feel fully stocked and ready for the fall semester.
Some items that we recommend displaying on end caps or near the front of your store in a dedicated back-to-school section include:
- OTC Cold, Flu, and Allergy Medications for all ages
- Hand sanitizers & First-aid Kits in multiple sizes, both fit for a classroom or to clip onto a backpack
- Tissue boxes and travel tissue packs
- Vitamins for the whole family to help boost immunity
- Fun school supplies or decor items for classrooms
It is also important to remind your community to make sure their prescriptions are up to date, their refills are scheduled, and they know when to pick up medications during this busy season!
As a community pharmacist, a great way to support your community and get everyone ready to tackle the school year is to offer flu shots and other services for the whole family. Other ways include taking to social media to share:
- Tips to stay healthy for the semester
- Healthy sleeping habits for students
- Immunity-boosting snack recipes
- Answers to any questions regarding your local school district’s health guidelines
For all the pharmacy students hitting the books this fall, we have a few tips to help prepare for this next chapter of your studies:
- Form a study group
- Develop healthy eating and sleeping habits
- Exercise regularly
- Stay organized
- Take breaks
